Dual-Cure 9771 Conformal Coating by Dymax offers superior PCB protection with low outgassing and ionic content.
Developed to meet the strike requirements of the aerospace and defense market, Dual-Cure 9771 conformal coating by leading UV/LED light-curable materials manufacturer Dymax, is ideal for protecting printed circuit boards in missiles, satellites and other space devices where exposure to extreme conditions are an obstacle.
Dual-Cure 9771 conformal coating cures with UV/Visible light and features a secondary moisture-cure function to ensure complete cure of coating that flows into shadow areas.
9771 NASA low outgassing conformal coating meets ASTM E595 TML and CVCM, UL 94 V0, UL 746E, MIL-I-46058C listed (pending), IPC-CC-830-B approved (pending) and in full compliance with the RoHS2 Directives 2015/863/EU.
Features & Benefits
- Meets ASTM E595 low outgassing
- Low iconic content compliance with Mil-Std 883 Method 5011
- UL 746-E and UL94V-0 flammability
- UV/Visible light cue with secondary moisture cure for shadow areas
- Excellent corrosion resistance
- Temperature and humidity resistance
- Fluoresces bright blue for easy inspection
This UV conformal coating provides a cleaner PCB during extreme conditions due to its low outgassing and ionic content. It can be used to protect critical electronic devices commonly found within military and aerospace systems and meets MIL-STD 883 Method 5011 standards for missiles, satellite, and space applications that are exposed to extreme conditions. It is also NASA MAPTIS Listed (Material Code 09841).
The 9771 also features a highly visible bright blue fluorescent tracer for simple quality inspection under black light. It is a Dual-Cure conformal coating, able to cure with both UV/Visible light and moisture to reach shadow areas. It’s a 100% solids alternative to solvated coatings providing a thin, protective coating without excessive weight to the PCB.
