The Aerosonde® Mk. 4.8 VTOL UAS from Textron Systems delivers unmatched operational agility with Hybrid Quadrotor technology, enabling vertical takeoff and landing without runway infrastructure.

Designed for expeditionary reconnaissance, its finely balanced size, weight, and power (SWaP) profile supports two-soldier portability while maintaining robust multi-payload capacity. This runway-independent system is purpose-built for rapid deployment in austere environments, providing long-endurance aerial surveillance, electronic warfare, and communications relay in a single compact platform.

The Mk. 4.8 integrates up to six mission payloads — including full-motion video, synthetic aperture radar, SIGINT, and LiDAR — while operating on heavy fuels such as JP-5, JP-8, F44, Jet-A, or Jet-A1. Its covert design minimizes visual and acoustic signatures, making it an ideal solution for tactical teams requiring dependable ISR capabilities under demanding field conditions.
