Zephyr is taking part in an online webinar examining how the Zephyr Drone Simulator can support pilot development while helping businesses address the costs, time requirements, and risks associated with drone training.
Hosted by Carahsoft, Avoiding Costly Mistakes with Better Pilot Training will take place on August 26, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm EDT (5:00 pm to 6:00 pm UTC). The session will provide an opportunity to learn more about the reasoning behind the Zephyr Drone Simulator, hear from people associated with the Zephyr brand, and have industry questions addressed during a Q&A session.
Training new pilots, as well as existing pools of pilots, can be costly and time-consuming. Instructor shortages, drone-to-pilot ratios, and the potential for damage to property or people can all affect training timelines and costs. The webinar will examine how the Zephyr Drone Simulator provides a training platform incorporating a Learning Management System to support pilot development.
The Zephyr Drone Simulator is accessible on both PC and Mac, supports nearly any controller, and provides a brand-agnostic selection of more than 24 drones with real-world flight physics. The platform also includes modules covering areas such as NIST certification, tower and bridge inspection, and search and rescue.
During the webinar, attendees will hear about case studies from Clemson University, Texas DPS, and others, as well as pilot development and the Zephyr Learning Management System. The session will also cover a cost savings analysis based on insurance data from 2020-2024, industry-specific use cases, pilot confidence and training timelines.
This webinar will explore how the Zephyr Drone Simulator can help businesses save time and money, reduce risk, meet training goals, implement new strategies more efficiently, and achieve trackable results.
The session will be presented by Dustyn Brewer, Client Success & Partnership Manager at Little Arms. Brewer has more than 20 years of experience in brand development and client success and joined the Little Arms team to support Zephyr’s role in institutional training for developing sectors within the drone industry.
The webinar is intended for Flight Trainers, Flight Operations Managers, Safety Program Managers, Safety Directors, Survey and GIS Teams, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Teams, and others interested in learning more about the Zephyr Drone Simulator.
Attendees are also eligible to receive one Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit, with the field of study listed as Information Technology. To receive the full credit, participants must attend the webinar, sign in using their full name, and actively participate in the required engagement-tracking polling questions throughout the session. The program level is Basic, with no prerequisites or advanced preparation required. Delivery is Group Internet Based, and there is no fee to attend.
