The eleventh edition of Dronitaly, Italy’s international event dedicated exclusively to civil drones for professional use, will be held from March 11-13, 2026 at the EX-GAM Congress Center in Bologna. Register here >>

Following requests from industry operators, the event returns to its traditional spring schedule. The EX-GAM venue offers a refined and reserved setting designed to support targeted meetings, networking, and collaboration among exhibitors and visitors.
Organized by BolognaFiere Water&Energy in collaboration with Mirumir, Dronitaly 2026 continues the format introduced during the special edition held in September 2025 at the ENEA Brasimone Research Centre. The event confirms its role as a platform for dialogue between companies, institutions, public administrations, and the research community, combining exhibition space with technical content and qualified networking.
The exhibition area will host more than 40 Italian and international companies, showcasing technologies and solutions for civil drone applications identified with the support of Dronitaly’s Technical and Scientific Committee. The aim is to foster direct dialogue between supply and demand for solutions, including from a B2B and B2G perspective, while enhancing expertise and high-impact operational use cases.
The event will also feature the Hub Ricerca e Innovazione (Research and Innovation), developed in collaboration with industry associations, universities, and other stakeholders. This space will host presentations by researchers, students, and start-ups working on innovative solutions involving professional and civil drone use.
Across the three-day event, the exhibition will be complemented by a conference program focusing on the main application fields of civil drones for professional use. Drones are highlighted as effective tools in agri-forestry operations, safety-related activities, infrastructure design, monitoring and inspection, as well as search and rescue. Emphasis is placed on precision, cost efficiency, and improved operational outcomes.
Special attention will be given to the acquisition, management, and integration of drone-generated data with other data sources, including the use of artificial intelligence.

The future development of the sector points toward the integration of drones within logistics systems to improve efficiency. During the opening round table, operators and representatives of Public Administrations will discuss how these technologies could reduce delivery times, improve access to hard-to-reach areas, lower operational costs, and respond to the evolving needs of consumers and public bodies.
The Dronitaly conference program, already available on the official event website and currently under development, includes several structured sessions developed with contributions from CNR, ISPRA, and the Order of Engineers, alongside additional initiatives.
CNR will curate three days dedicated to “Drones and the Environment: Research, Applications and Perspectives”, focusing respectively on agri-forestry solutions (March 11), geo-environmental solutions (12 March), and “Drones and Data: management, security and future networks” (March 13).

On the afternoons of March 11 and 12, ISPRA will host two sessions within the conference “The New ‘Eyes’ of Environmental Monitoring”, addressing the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) within the National System for Environmental Protection and to institutional synergies for monitoring, territorial control, research, and emergency response.
The Order of Engineers will collaborate on the conference “Drones on Construction Sites: Safety, Monitoring, Engineering” on March 12. This session will provide professional training for engineers and specialized operators, focusing on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) use for accessing critical areas, collecting real-time data, conducting inspections, reducing workplace accidents, and optimizing time and costs in high-risk environments such as major infrastructure projects and construction sites.
Dronitaly 2026 positions itself as a dedicated environment for relationship building, knowledge transfer, and project development, with an approach centered on the operational needs of user sectors and public administrations. Admission is free for professional visitors, subject to online registration.
