Discover cutting-edge solutions from leading global suppliers
Organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the 2025 Taipei International Aerospace and Defense Industry Exhibition (TADTE) successfully concluded with its largest edition to date.
The event gathered 490 exhibitors from 15 countries, utilized 1,500 booths, and achieved more than 70 percent growth compared to the previous edition.
Over the course of three days, TADTE welcomed more than 36,000 visitors, nearly double the previous show. The top five buyer delegations came from the United States, Japan, Singapore, India, and South Korea. Providing a platform for the aerospace and defense sectors, the exhibition highlighted Taiwan’s role in strengthening defense autonomy, supporting supply chain restructuring, and advancing international cooperation.
The exhibition reflected growing international recognition of Taiwan’s technological capabilities and production capacity, showcasing the transition from independent R&D to global integration. Taiwan boasts expertise in semiconductors, ICT, and precision manufacturing.
Five Dedicated Pavilions
TADTE 2025 featured five specialized pavilions that drew significant attention from professionals and the public.
National Defense Pavilion
With the theme “Resilient Defense, Strengthening National Power,” the pavilion combined the Army, Navy, Air Force, and military R&D institutions for the first time. It showcased 51 new equipment items and interactive experiences to strengthen public awareness of defense technology.
Taiwan Space Pavilion
Jointly presented by 39 industry, academic, and research organizations, the pavilion showcased satellite design, communications, and applications, with a focus on the latest progress of the Formosat-8 program.
Unmanned Vehicle Industry Cluster
Led by the Asia Innovation Center, the cluster featured 21 companies presenting autonomous technologies and diverse applications.
Aerospace Industry Pavilion
Organized by the Aerospace Industry Association and led by Han Hsiang Aerospace, the pavilion unveiled a counter-UAV system and dedicated engines for the first time.
Defense Industry Development Association Pavilion
The pavilion brought together 23 manufacturers from aerospace, shipbuilding, cybersecurity, and logistics, showcasing achievements in defense self-reliance.

Strong Government Presence & Business Opportunities
The event received strong support from the highest levels, with President Lai Ching-te and Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim attending in person. Their presence highlighted the government’s role in advancing defense autonomy and promoting Taiwan’s “five trust industries.”
Procurement meetings facilitated discussions between exhibitors and buyers from 14 countries, including Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Canada. These meetings reportedly generated business opportunities valued at more than US$200 million.
International Forums
Two high-profile international forums were hosted during TADTE 2025.
- International Space Forum: Focused on communication resilience and space security, the forum featured experts from the United States, Japan, and other countries. More than 120 participants discussed satellite imagery, cybersecurity, and opportunities for cooperation.
- International Unmanned Systems Industry Forum: Co-hosted with AUVSI and industry organizations from the United States, Japan, Poland, and the Czech Republic, the forum attracted 180 professionals to examine global drone market trends and policies. The discussions emphasized the expanding defense and civilian applications of unmanned technologies.
These forums provided important platforms for exchanging perspectives and strengthening cooperation between Taiwan and the international community in the fields of space and unmanned systems.

Global Collaboration
The exhibition also featured international cooperation agreements. Han Hsiang Aerospace and U.S.-based Shield AI signed an agreement to jointly develop high-performance drones, combining AI flight systems with Taiwan’s manufacturing expertise. This collaboration underscored the confidence of global partners in Taiwan’s defense and aerospace capabilities and highlighted TADTE’s role as a hub for international industry matchmaking.
TADTE 2025 highlighted Taiwan’s advancements in defense self-reliance, civil-military cooperation, and supply chain resilience, while demonstrating its position as an open platform for global exchange. By creating opportunities for dialogue and collaboration, the exhibition strengthened Taiwan’s role in shaping the future of aerospace and defense in the Asia-Pacific.
The next edition of TADTE will take place in 2027, with organizers inviting international partners and industry leaders to continue their participation.
