As the GENIUS NY program enters its last call for applications, there’s no better moment to launch your startup in New York State.
Operated by CenterState CEO and funded by Empire State Development, GENIUS NY is the world’s largest accelerator for uncrewed systems and robotics startups. It awards $3 million annually to five companies, including a $1 million grand prize. The deadline to apply for Cohort 9 is May 28, 2025, at geniusny.com.
2. New Single-Card Resilient INS from Honeywell
Honeywell Aerospace Technologies has introduced the HGuide o480, a high-performance, single-card inertial navigation system (INS) that is ideal for the requirements of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and autonomous systems.
Delivering precise and resilient localization and attitude data in an ultra-low-SWaP (size, weight and power) form factor, it can be integrated directly into the electronics stack of a range of different platforms and designs.
3. WarrenUAS Secures FAA 44807 Exemption, Expanding Large UAS Training Capabilities

WarrenUAS, one of the leading collegiate sUAS (drone) training programs in the country, has registered another major win for their program with word this week that the Federal Aviation Administration has granted the WarrenUAS program permission to operate larger (above 55 pounds) UAS in the National Airspace as well as the ability to train students operators to fly such aircraft.
The large majority of exemptions issued for 55 pound and heavier aircraft have limitations on providing training. Currently, WarrenUAS is one of only five organizations to have such clearance.
4. TEKEVER Supports RAF Programme with VTOL UAS for Electronic Warfare

TEKEVER, in collaboration with the UK’s StormShroud Programme, is delivering agile uncrewed capability through its VTOL UAV the TEKEVER AR3 to support electronic warfare operations.
As part of its ongoing commitment to UK defence innovation, TEKEVER is playing a key role in the Royal Air Force’s StormShroud programme. This next-generation electronic warfare initiative falls under the Autonomous Collaborative Platforms (ACP) Programme. This effort aims to enhance the survivability and effectiveness of the RAF’s crewed combat aircraft by integrating uncrewed platforms equipped with advanced electronic capabilities.
5. New Airborne Private Cellular Network System for Tactical & Emergency Missions

CENTUMÂ has introduced Cellair, a compact airborne cellular system engineered to provide secure, reliable, and rapidly deployable communications for critical and tactical missions.
Revealed at XPONENTIAL 2025, Cellair enables mission teams to establish a private cellular network within minutes, offering immediate connectivity in environments where existing infrastructure is compromised or unavailable.
