1. Meteksan Radars to Integrate into Tactical UAS

Meteksan Radars to Integrate into Tactical UAS

ADASI has signed a contract to integrate MILSAR radars from Meteksan Defence, one of the largest defense companies in Türkiye, into the GARMOOSHA unmanned aerial system (UAS).

Signed at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference 2025 (IDEX 2025), the contract will enable ADASI to offer the GARMOOSHA UAS with a new, fully integrated non-kinetic payload featuring versatile moving target indication modes for detection and tracking of potential targets.

The MILSAR radar will also provide end-users of the GARMOOSHA with a synthetic aperture radar mode for high resolution and all-weather imagery, target classification, and ground mapping.

2. MQ-9B SeaGuardian® UAS Undergoes Testing with Anti-Submarine Sensors

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) has demonstrated the first-ever Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) capability on an MQ-9B SeaGuardian® unmanned aerial system (UAS).

In a test which took place from January 20-30, 2025, a company-operated MQ-9B SeaGuardian successfully deployed and tested anti-submarine sensors using multiple pre-production Sonobuoy Dispensing System (SDS) pods.

Having already proven its ability to track submerged targets, the SeaGuardian took this capability further with GA-ASI’s newly designed SDS pods. These pods deployed multiple sonobuoys to conduct onboard thermal-depth and acoustic data processing.

3. Skyeton Unveils New UAS Payloads at XPONENTIAL Europe

Skyeton presented its latest payload developments at XPONENTIAL Europe – a new line of GLE multi-mission gimbals. The presentation at XPONENTIAL Europe in Düsseldorf highlighted the company’s flagship Raybird unmanned aerial system (UAS), as well as the new payloads.

The GLE series is a line of optical-electronic systems with ergonomics for operating in high-stress environments. It includes three sensors: a global shutter EO sensor, a MWIR, and a laser rangefinder.

The GLE series records and transmits video from all cameras simultaneously, with separate bitrate support for recording and online streaming. It features automatic bitrate adjustment and distribution among cameras, video recording on a MicroSD card with quick access, and an energy buffer to ensure safe video recording termination. Additionally, the series processes and displays UAS telemetry data and integrates with UAS via Mavlink.
