COM Express Embedded Processing Units

Our COM Express embedding processing units feature an integrated Intel Gen-7 graphics core, providing hardware-accelerated MPEG-4/H.264 and MPEG-2 video encoding and decoding.

System interfaces include Gigabit Ethernet with network boot capability, one USB 3.0 port, four USB 2.0 ports, and two serial ports, with a SATA 3 Gb/s interface for high-capacity storage. A range of flexible solid-state drive (SSD) options are catered for with on-board eMMC Flash, a microSD socket and a Mini PCIe socket with mSATA support. The Mini PCIe socket also accommodates plug-in A/D, Wi-Fi modems, GPS receivers, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, Firewire, and other mini cards.

The Osprey is a highly compact and rugged embedded computing platform based around an Intel Atom E38xx “Bay Trail” processor, with single, dual, and quad-core options. With a slightly larger footprint than a credit card and a thickness of one inch, it is ideal for highly SWAP-constrained UAVs, drones and robotic platforms.

The rugged system has been designed to operate within industrial temperatures of -40° to +85°C, and meets military MIL-STD-202G specifications for shock and vibration.

Raven (EPU-3312) Com-Express Embedded Processing Unit

The Raven is a compact, rugged low-power embedded computer equipped with an Intel Atom E38xx “Bay Trail” processor, with single, dual, and quad-core options. With a four inches square footprint and a thickness of one inch, it is ideal for space-constrained unmanned systems with low power budgets.

With a wide input voltage range of 8 to 30 volts, the Raven is fully compatible with 12 or 24V systems, making it easy to integrate with a wide variety of unmanned vehicles. In addition, it features Reverse Voltage Protection and Over Voltage Protection for enhanced field durability and reliability.

PC/104 Single Board Computers

Our PC/104 single board computers are lightweight platforms based around the industry standard footprint of 108mm x 96mm. They are ideal for SWaP-constrained UAVs and unmanned systems with harsh environment applications, having been designed to industrial temperature operation standards (-40° to +85°C) and qualified to military MIL-STD-202G specifications for shock and vibration.

The Bengal is a low-power, high-performance SBC based around an Intel Atom E38xx “Bay Trail” processor, with single, dual, and quad-core options and up to 8GB RAM. Its integrated Intel Gen 7 graphics core supports DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.0, and H.264/MPEG-2 encoding and decoding.

The Bengal is built on the new “PCIe/104 OneBank” format. It is compatible with the PCI/104 Express format and includes a legacy PCI connector and a single bank high-speed PCIe connector, providing flexible system expansion options.

The Lion is built on the new “PCIe/104 OneBank” format. It is compatible with the PCI/104 Express format and includes a legacy PCI connector and a single bank high-speed PCIe connector, providing flexible system expansion options.

Tetra (EPC-2700) ARM-based Single Board Computer

The Tetra is a rugged highly power-efficient SBC based around an ARM i.MX6 Cortex-A9 quad-core processor, with 4GB RAM. It features a wide range of connectivity options including Gigabit Ethernet, USB, and CAN Bus interface, as well as HDMI and LVDS video support. Expansion and peripheral capabilties include a Mini PCIe socket, an I2C port, MIPI camera input, audio I/O, SPI, and a 6-axis accelerometer / magnetometer.
