Black Widow
Portable sUAS for short-range ISR & electronic warfare
The Black Widow is a portable multirotor sUAS designed to support the warfighter in a variety of tactical scenarios, including short-range reconnaissance and target identification. Made in the USA, the Blue UAS-certified drone system is part of Red Cat’s Arachnid Family of Systems, which has been purpose-built for the U.S. Army’s roadmap for UAS integration.
The versatile system features a fully modular architecture, allowing it to be quickly reconfigured in the field for different mission requirements. It is provided as standard with the Teledyne FLIR Hadron 640R+, enabling it to gather mission-critical EO/IR imagery at any time of day or night. An integrated Picatinny rail allows secondary payloads to be connected with ease.
The Black Widow also includes a hex-band radio from Doodle Labs, with frequency-stepping for enhanced resilience in electronic warfare (EW) environments.
The Black Widow drone has been chosen for the US Army Short Range Reconnaissance Program, read about it here.
