A new drone cyber security and safety model, fully developed by Mobilicom, has arisen from the demands of tactical mobile communications, mission-critical networking and the emergence of autonomous vehicles. Created in response to the need to protect all units and data during mission-critical situations, Mobilicom’s ICE Cyber Security suite prevents, detects and responds to existing threats that may affect your operations.

Cyber security challenges come from the distributed approach of tactical ad-hoc networks and UAVs, which results in large numbers of units that work independently, are wirelessly operated, and are easily compromised due to their high vulnerability. “Disconnected” operations without centralized control, such as those taking place in remote areas, depend heavily on GPS and GNSS availability, and centralized or cloud security is not applicable in most cases.

The MCU-30 is a family of 4G/IP ad-hoc wireless communications units that provide high-performance transmission of HD video, data and VoIP without the need for any existing infrastructure. The compact, lightweight and battery-powered systems are specially designed for drones and robotics with low SWaP (size, weight and power) requirements.

The multifunctional units support a variety of on-the-move network topologies, including Mobile Point-to-Point, Mobile Point-to-Multi-Point, Mobile Multi-Point-to-Multi-Point, Mobile MESH, Extended MESH and Collaborative MESH.
