Even when being unmanned, large ships need to have a VHF radio onboard to communicate with ships that are close by, or to relay an alarm call from another ship.
Mimer SoftRadio lets you remote control that marine VHF radio from the onshore position where the ship is controlled. Just as if the helmsman was sitting in front of the radio onboard.
Each operator can handle many radios, on one ship or on several ships. Each ship can also be fitted with more than radios, equipment that are also remote controlled from the same software. This can for example be an onboard intercom system or a PA/Foghorn speaker with a microphone for ambient listening.
Connection between ship and shore is done with IP over a micro wave link, a 4G/5G cellular connection or a satellite connection.
