Inertial Labs' Wave Sensors utilize three-axis precision accelerometers, magnetometers, gyroscopes and barometric sensors to provide high-accuracy wave characteristics such as height, period, direction and energy, as well as heave, sway, surge, pitch and roll of the device under measure. Spectral data can be output as a complete set of Fourier coefficients and energies.
The sensors can be easily integrated with marine and maritime systems such as buoys or unmanned floating platforms to provide real-time data transmission. Two models are available - an Enhanced version, and a Professional Dual version that includes GNSS heading output and DGPS/RTK capabilities.
Wave Sensors are IP67-rated, and the WS-PD is also available in a ruggedized marine-hardened enclosure for subsea applications.
