The C-TEM is a tethered UAS that has been specifically designed for naval and maritime operations, and can be rapidly deployed in less than 3 minutes. Housed in a rugged containerized enclosure with continuous power delivered through the tether, it provides semi-autonomous takeoff, following, and landing and ensures persistent capabilities without the need for recharging or battery changing.
The advanced UAS is ideal for prolonged communications and ISR support, and can carry a wide range of payloads with a total capacity of 15 lbs. It has been designed with built-in cybersecurity and RMF (Risk Management Framework)-compliant networking capabilities, and offers high-bandwidth encrypted Ethernet connectivity, ensuring that sensitive mission-critical data can be transmitted securely in real time.
The C-TEM has been deployed by the US Navy to extend the range of Program of Record radios such as the RSS R/T 1944 and the MIDS JTRS Link 16. This crucial capability enhances mission co-ordination at sea and provides command and control over the horizon.
