The CNG-V is a catapult-launched fixed-wing UAV featuring full autonomy and designed to function as a reusable low-cost training asset or expendable target drone. Capable of being operated by a team of two, the aircraft can perform belly landings or deploy a parachute for recovery.
The aircraft is powered by a two-stroke gasoline engine with a Li-Po battery for onboard electrical systems. It features a carrying capacity of 7kg for payloads and/or fuel. Payloads and sensors can be easily integrated onto the platform using proprietary CAN communications modules.
The CNG-V incorporates a number of built-in safety features, including dual C2 links on distinct frequencies, dual redundant mission-critical systems (ailerons, elevators, pitots, GPS, IMUs and altimeters), ADS-B In and Out, and an FPV tail camera for enhanced situational awareness.
