Zephyr utilizes real-world physics and an ever-expanding library of specialized modules to provide an accurate and immersive simulation environment that allows you to train and learn effectively without worrying about expensive hardware or bad weather. The advanced software runs on Windows and MacOS, and is available in almost every country around the world. It provides unique physics models for a wide range of popular sUAS models, making it the most accurate commercially available drone simulator on the market.
Zephyr is available in three different tiers for individual users – Beginner, Hobbyist, and Professional – each providing a tutorial and a selection of training modules developed in conjunction with drone industry professionals, as well as a free-flight mode.
Scenarios include:
Warehouse – Develop indoor and outdoor flight skills, and practice navigating your drone through tight spaces
Bridge Inspection – Locate and capture faults on various parts of a detailed bridge model
NIST/APSA – Training and test preparation for drone certifications
Football Stadium – A series of cinematography and broadcast-focused training modules
The Zephyr platform is highly versatile and scalable, allowing drone businesses, government agencies, and educational providers to create training solutions that are tailored towards the unique requirements of their organization. Trainees can build their confidence and skills from almost anywhere in the world, taking advantage of state-of-the-art training that allows them to seamlessly transition to real-world missions.
Training modules and assignments can be organized into courses, and the platform provides convenient and comprehensive user tracking, performance measurement, and data management.
The Zephyr platform also allows users to achieve officially recognized virtual pilot certifications, developed in collaboration with the Airborne Public Safety Association (APSA). These include the APSA-NIST Basic Proficiency Evaluation for Remote Pilot (BPERP) Certificate, developed in accordance with the NIST Open Lane Test Methods for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
