Renice Technology, a developer of solid state storage solutions, has announced the release of their industrial-grade USB3.0 Disk on Module (DOM). The high-reliability storage solution is designed for rugged embedded systems applications such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other robotics platforms.

Renice’s USB3.0 DOM is also compatible with USB2.0 and USB1.1. It has a maximum capacity of 256GB, with maximum read/write speeds of 200MB/s and 150MB/s. The module supports full-speed, hi-speed and superspeed 5Gbps transmissions, with massive, synchronous and interrupted transmission modes.

The module also supports 96 bit/1KB BCH error correction code (ECC) and features write-protect and secure delete and erase functionalities. With an operational temperature range of -40℃ to +85℃, the module is also highly resistant to shock and vibration, making it a suitable compact storage device for harsh environment applications.
