The Moog Crossbow GNC1000 Guidance, Navigation and Control system

Moog Crossbow, a wholly owned subsidiary of Moog Inc., recently introduced the GNC1000, a highly integrated Guidance, Navigation and Control system. The GNC1000 includes autopilot, flight control computer, actuation control, attitude heading and reference system (AHRS) and air data system.

The GNC1000 is a highly customizable solution that integrates key features from multiple avionics boxes into a single compact unit. This ultimately simplifies system design and integration while freeing up valuable real estate. The GNC1000 includes a user configurable PowerPC based platform with flexible I/O for hosting higher level vehicle functionality including flight control laws and a multi-function autopilot. It includes a tactical grade IMU with full INS/attitude solutions as well as built-in air data processing. While robust in features, the GNC1000 is compact, light-weight and uses less than 7 W of power; making it ideal for a wide range of unmanned platforms.

Roger Shuler, Moog Crossbow Business Unit Director, said: “The system core is based on Moog’s proprietary avionics solutions currently operating aboard large commercial transports and high end business jets. Because of its highly configurable nature, the GNC1000 is easily integrated into a variety of vehicle architectures including platforms designed for air, land and sea.”

The GNC1000 is now available for order to customers worldwide. Contact our Sales Department at +1 408 965-3300 for pricing and lead times.
