The Skylark® I LE - Mini UAS

Elbit Systems of America, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd. will present an array of cutting edge solutions designed to enhance the capabilities of the United States Armed Forces at the upcoming Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting and Exposition (AUSA), (booth #839, Hall A) set to take place in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington DC from October 22-24, 2012.

With demonstrations, video presentations, and product displays, Elbit Systems of America will depict the successful integration of systems available to empower the warfighter. Dedicated to supporting those who contribute daily to the safety and security of our nation, Elbit Systems of America’s innovative and affordable solutions allow units to operate successfully in complex conflicts and urban environments.

Elbit Systems of America’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) division will focus on the Skylark I-LE Block II. Skylark® I LE Block II is based on the operationally-proven Skylark® I UAS, currently used by many coalition partners. The Skylark® I- LE Block II version increases the system’s operational range to 15 km and the endurance to approximately 3 hours.

The system also features a unique gyroscopic-stabilized, gimbaled payload optimally integrated with algorithms derived from the larger Hermes® 450 UAS to enable auto-tracking of dynamic targets. A hand-launched unit, the Skylark® I-LE UAS combines the characteristics normally reserved for larger UAS within the form-factor of a man-portable system.
